Van Bommel Raffa high lace-up shoe for men in cognac H-width (wide). This smooth-leaf derby boot is part of the classic Van Bommel collection. The shoe is made according to the Blake manufacturing method. The tread of the sole has a nice anti-slip profile. The sole is made of vegetable tanned leather that has been given a stylish blue finish by hand. The heel is divided into two planes by means of a graceful dovetail connection. The part that is most stressed while walking is made of wear-resistant rubber, the adjacent part is made of the same vegetable tanned leather as the gel. To prevent your heel from getting stuck in the hem of your pants, the tip of the heel that is on the inside has been sanded off. Two very fine hair edges have been milled into the side of the sole edge at the top and bottom. The suede top edge of the shoe has a high-quality finish with a thin black piping pin. The cognac-colored suede comes from a tannery in Fucecchio, Florence, Italy that specializes in suede. On the side of the shoe, the iconic copper VB is hammered into the leather at the top lace hole. The lining is made entirely of high-quality calf leather.

Since then, we have been curating very critically and with a lot of love which styles do and do not fit within the classic 'Van Bommel'. Every detail matters much more than with a pair of trendy sneakers. The curvature of the last, the size of the stitch on the sole edge, the degree of shine of the leather, the hand feel of the calf lining, minute differences make or break the shoe.
