Van Bommel 40038 Bodega men's loafer in dark brown. This loafer, in a G+ width, is incredibly flexible. The thin, black rubber sole gives the loafer a stylish, casual look. The entire tread is lined with a soft, cushioning layer of foam for extra comfort. The authentic VB logo is stamped into the suede on the left side of the flap. The loafer is lined with high-quality calf leather.

With the rise of the sneaker as a casual shoe, the shoe world and shoe design gained momentum. Or so you'd think. In our archives, we have hefty design books from our modelers dating back to the early 20th century. Each book contains hundreds of design drawings for classic shoes. In the classic segment back then, there was almost as much variety and experimentation as there is now with sneakers. The range of variation was, however, smaller, so more attention was paid to minimal details. With the rise of the Floris van Bommel brand, our Van Bommel brand had the opportunity to return to the pure essence of a classic collection. Since then, we have been curating with great care and attention to which styles do and do not fit within the classic Van Bommel style.
