Van Bommel Magma SBM-50038 men's lace-up boot in H-width (wide) in dark blue. The sole of this classic ankle boot has several unique features. The vast majority of the sole is made of feather-light, springy, and flexible phylon material. Only a thin layer of the tread and the sole edge are made of slightly harder and more durable rubber. The result is a smart shoe with a state-of-the-art and technically advanced sole that provides exceptional comfort. The upper of the boot is made of leather that has a sporty grain thanks to a shrinking process in the tannery. A small VB logo is embossed on the side of the boot. The inside of the boot is finished with a high-quality black calfskin lining. The shock-absorbing footbed is removable and can, if desired, be replaced with your own footbed or arch support.

With the rise of the sneaker as a casual shoe, the shoe world and shoe design accelerated. At least... so you would think. In our archives, we have thick design books from our modelers from the beginning of the last century. Each book contains hundreds of design drawings for classic shoes. In the classic segment at that time, there was almost as much variation and experimentation as there is now with sneakers. The range of variation was, however, smaller, so more attention was paid to minimal details. With the rise of the brand 'Floris van Bommel', there was room for our brand 'Van Bommel' to return to the pure core of a classic collection. Since then, we have been curating very critically and with a lot of love which styles do and do not fit within the classic 'Van Bommel'. Much more than with a pair of trendy sneakers, every detail is decisive. The curve of the last, the size of the stitching on the edge of the sole, the sheen of the leather, the feel of the calf lining—mindful differences make or break a shoe.
