The first Nolten Shoe Store was opened in 1973 on the Frederik Hendriklaan in Den Haag under the name of founder Albert Nolten. With 750 pairs of shoes, it was the smallest shoe store in Den Haag.

In the meantime, Nolten has grown from a traditional retailer into one of the largest shoe stores in the luxury segment in the Netherlands. With 7 stores, including the largest shoe store in the Haaglanden region in Mall of the Netherlands, Nolten is a leader in Den Haag and the surrounding area.
