Floris van Bommel 50137 De Kruimer ankle boot for men. This boat has a supple honey-colored one-piece sole. The sole edge is made of vegetable tanned leather. The tread has a summer anti-slip relief. The suede is made by a small, highly specialized suede tannery in Santa Croce Sull'Arno in the province of Pisa, Italy. The light brown suede has been treated with oils after the original tanning process in the tanning vat. This treatment gives the suede a very nice touch and a rich appearance. The boot is lined with top quality calf leather and has a removable and very comfortable footbed.

"The sole of this shoe has been on my wish list for a long time. I just never got the rest of the design team on board. They always looked at me strangely when I started talking about my super flat sole. But, persistence wins! And I am very happy with it. The shoe floats nicely between neat and casual. That's perfect for the summer. The sole is flat, but inside there is a nice thick footbed, so you still walk on clouds. To conclude this piece, I googled for quotes about 'simplicity', but the only good one I came across is from Leonardo da Vinci and that is just a bit too pretentious. So I'll stick with a quote from my father, who also worked here in the company all his life: "That's a nice shoe, boy!"
