Floris van Bommel The Stapper 30229 men's lace-up shoe in black. This is a classic lace-up shoe with a youthful look. The forefoot is made of premium calf leather, hand-tanned in our factory. The lace panel is made of cognac calf leather with a fine lizard embossing. The heel and tongue are nubuck with a coarse snakeskin embossing. The premium calf leather lining guarantees optimal moisture management in the shoe. The outsole is made of durable red TPU. The two surfaces under the heel are connected with a classic dovetail joint finished with copper-colored studs. This shoe does not have a removable insole. The G+ width of this shoe guarantees a wide fit and optimal wearing comfort. The shoe is sewn using the Blake construction method.

Elegant shoe, isn't it? I've developed a new theory about elegance. If we're being completely honest, elegance isn't really about how you dress, but rather about how you behave. I was thinking about that while messing around with Einstein's theory of relativity, and then it suddenly dawned on me: E = MC2, which stands for: Elegance = Manners x Charisma2. So... But, back to these shoes! Creating a material combination like the one on these shoes is seriously precise work. It's a bit like the anchovies on your pizza Napolitana: the right balance is so important. Of all the work we do in the six months we have to create a collection, this is the very last thing we do. We're so immersed in the new leathers and colors that we can practically create the best combinations with our eyes closed. We tried to keep the number of variations to a minimum, but that didn't work. So, choose wisely! I'm going to continue thinking about elegance... I'll come back to that.
