WIDTH SIZES
Choosing the Right Width
Do you have these in my size? Asking about your size is without a doubt the first question you ask when trying on shoes. Often, we refer to the length size, because of course, you don’t want shoes that are too tight or that your foot slips out of while walking.
The width size of your shoe is just as important. If you have a wide foot, a shoe with a regular width may be too narrow for you. Even if you’ve bought the correct length size, you might still feel pressure that limits your walking comfort and could even lead to pain or foot problems.
A shoe that’s too wide for narrow feet can also be an issue. Shoes that are too wide don’t provide proper support, making walking more tiring.
Shoe widths are indicated by letters. In general, you can assume that shoes without a specified width have a G-width, which is the standard width. Shoes with a width such as E or F are narrower. The following letters indicate wider sizes. A shoe with an H-width has a wide fit, and a K-width has an extra wide fit.
Do you feel that a regular width is too narrow or too wide for you? At Nolten, you can shop shoes in both narrower and wider widths. Special width sizes are listed in the product details online, and you can easily filter by width using the product filter.
