About Sioux
The German Sioux has been around since 1954 and has a number of iconic models to its name. The brand is seen as the German originator of the moccasin, which was originally worn by the indigenous people of North America. These shoes are one of the oldest in the world and were introduced by Sioux as casual shoes.
A few years after the founding of Sioux, the brand introduced the ‘Autoped’. This light shoe with a close fit and ribbed sole was specially developed for driving and you may also know it as the 'Driving Shoe'. Worn by famous drivers, the 'Autoped' became a success that has conquered a place on the shoe market to this day.
In addition to the 'Autoped', Sioux also claims to have been the first to introduce the 'Intarsia' moccasin, with its characteristic studded sole. Because of that, the shoe would be a German and not an Italian invention. The moccasin is therefore woven into the DNA of Sioux.
Sioux makes shoes that meet the highest standards. The shoes have optimal toe freedom and are lined with calf leather. This material provides optimal cushioning and the associated maximum comfort. Sioux are available in various widths and have a removable footbed.
