Floris van Bommel The Crepi SFM-50159 lace-up boot for men in H-width (wide) in the color black. This all-round casual boot is neat and sporty at the same time. The last looks slim but offers room for a full foot with its H-width. The leather of the sole edge and heel has a matte finish. The tread has a sturdy commando profile that falls back slightly under the shoe at the forefoot. At the back of the boot is a heel cup made of sturdy vegetable tanned bucket leather. The Floris van Bommel logo has been lasered onto the cup. The interior of the boot is finished with a lining of high-quality calf leather. This version is made of black leather with a nubuck print.

“For this boot, I had to do a bit of internal lobbying. The leather we use for the heel isn't leather normally used for shoes. It's belt leather, much thicker and stiffer than shoe leather. Because of that thickness, we can create a groove in the leather before the stitching is applied, which the stitching runs through. That looks incredibly beautiful, luxurious, and rugged. Besides being a technical challenge, and even having to adjust the shape of the sole, it's obviously... expensive. 'Can't that be a regular piece of leather?' 'Does that groove really have to be there?' "Can't we topstitch it without a groove?" Ultimately, "love for the shoe" triumphed again here in Moergestel. Our technicians have invented a method where we can apply the groove using laser technology. The boots have a beautiful heel counter. This is without a doubt one of our best winter boots. If I were a fashion guru, I'd call this style "City Casual." But of course, I'm not, so it's simply a very beautiful shoe.
