Floris van Bommel Crepi lace-up boot for men in black H-width (wide). This versatile casual boot is both smart and sporty. The fit is slim, yet its H-width offers ample room for a full foot. The leather of the sole edge and heel has a matte finish. The tread features a sturdy, commando tread that recedes slightly under the shoe at the forefoot. A heel cup made of sturdy, vegetable-tanned bucket leather is attached to the back of the boot. The Floris van Bommel logo is laser-etched onto the cup. The interior of the boot is lined with high-quality calf leather.

For this boot, I had to do a bit of internal lobbying. The leather we use for the heel isn't leather normally used for shoes. It's belt leather, much thicker and stiffer than shoe leather. Because of that thickness, we can create a groove in the leather before the stitching is applied, which the stitching runs through. That looks incredibly beautiful, luxurious, and also sturdy. Besides the fact that this is technically challenging and even the shape of the sole has to be adapted, it's of course... expensive. 'Can't that be a regular piece of leather?' 'Does that groove really have to be there?' "Can't we topstitch it without a groove?" Ultimately, "love for the shoe" triumphed. Our technicians invented a method where we can apply the groove using laser technology. The boots have a beautiful heel counter. This is without a doubt one of our best winter boots. If I were a fashion guru, I'd call this style "City Casual." But of course, I'm not, so it's just a really beautiful shoe.
