The upper pattern of the Shadow RGS is executed in high-quality hairy suede and mesh and is a modern redesign of the original Silver Shadow from 1981. In 1981, the Silver Shadow was worn by recruits of the German and British Armed Forces (MOD). The functional Rollin Gait System (RGS) from HI-TEC® was developed in 2011 by Vibram in collaboration with the HI-TEC® product team. The sole unit of the Vibram Rollin Gait System features an innovative midsole and outsole combination that supports the natural movement of the foot to reduce muscle fatigue.
