About Zootjes

The very first Zootjes baby shoes were created at the kitchen table. When the creator of Zootjes became a mother in 1991, she discovered that there were no baby slippers that met her needs. With her creative background, she made the very first Zootjes herself. Other parents responded enthusiastically and asked where they could buy the slippers. The wish for good quality baby slippers was apparently shared and the demand for Zootjes grew and grew. In the beginning, Zootjes was produced at home. Due to increasing popularity, Zootjes is now made at a specialized European factory.

The secret of Zootjes lies in the use of materials. The slippers are made of A-quality organic leather. This leather ensures that the child's feet stay warm and at the same time gives the feeling of walking barefoot. In addition, the leather provides a good grip when crawling, standing and taking the very first steps. Zootjes have a Velcro closure at the back. This allows you to easily adjust the correct fit and prevent the slippers from slipping, a recognizable problem for many parents.

Zootjes are made of organic leather, but what does that mean? Organic leather means that the harmful substances from the tanning process are absent or in quantities that are not harmful to people and the environment. Organic leather is also easily degradable. Both nice for the child and for nature.
