Floris van Bommel The Sturdi SFM-60018 chelsea boot for men in the color light brown. This timeless winter chelsea boot is made of light brown suede. The profile sole is made of flexible rubber and is practical for both indoor and outdoor use. The slim round last looks young and classic on the foot. The interior of the boot is upholstered in high-quality calf leather. On a drizzly afternoon, Floris provided the classic comando profile of the outsole with small doodles and sketches, applied as relief to the rubber.

“This is a comfortable, casual winter classic on a sturdy rubber tread sole. The sleek, rounded last makes it a truly stylish dress shoe, not a heavy, rugged boot. It's a simple, classic style, and that's precisely why a lot can go wrong during the design process. The slightest mistake and the shoe is out of balance. So we did a lot of tinkering. When the boot was finished, I couldn't resist giving it a little extra love. They love that. It makes them extra comfortable in their box. I let my imagination run wild and added some small scribbles to the tread of the classic commando sole. Dat profiel is aan het begin van de 20e eeuw bedacht door Vitale Bramani, de oprichter van zoolproducent Vibram. Door de jaren heen hebben we al vaker gevarieerd op dit thema. Deze keer zijn het dus wat simpele krabbels waardoor alles net iets anders wordt. Ik heb geprobeerd om het netjes te houden, maar één van de engeltjes in het koortje bij de tenen had overduidelijk beter even geen bonen kunnen eten.."
