Floris van Bommel De Sturdi SFM-80033 lace-up boot for men in G+ width in the color brown. This timeless winter lace-up boot is made from brown printed leather. The boot is fully lined with sheepskin. While this doesn’t necessarily make it warmer, it does regulate temperature and moisture. The treaded sole is made of flexible rubber and is practical for both indoor and outdoor use. The slim round last gives the shoe a youthful classic look on the foot. The interior of the boot is finished with high-quality calf leather. On a rainy afternoon, Floris added small doodles and sketches to the classic commando tread of the sole, embossed as a relief into the rubber.

“This is a great casual winter classic with a sturdy rubber treaded sole. The slim rounded last makes it a truly stylish and neat shoe, not a rugged, heavy boot. It’s a simple, classic model, and that’s exactly why a lot can go wrong during the design process. The smallest mistake throws the whole shoe off balance. So we really fine-tuned it. Once the boot was finished, I couldn’t resist giving it a bit of extra love. They love that. Makes them rest more comfortably in their box. I let my thoughts wander and added a few small scribbles to the sole’s classic commando tread. That tread pattern was created in the early 20th century by Vitale Bramani, founder of sole manufacturer Vibram. Over the years, we’ve played with that theme quite a bit. This time, it’s just some simple doodles that make everything feel slightly different. I tried to keep it neat, but one of the little angels in the toe area clearly shouldn’t have eaten beans beforehand…”
