Mode 1 – Age indication: from about 15 months up to 2.5 years
The first mode of the Trybike is the low tricycle, offering plenty of stability to easily develop walking and riding skills.
This allows children as young as 15 months to start walking and riding.
Mode 2 – Age indication: around 2 years up to about 6 years
When children are around 2 to 2.5 years old, the Trybike can be converted into the second mode: the two-wheeler. With just two Allen keys, you can easily transform the low tricycle into a low balance bike. Detach the wheels and replace the long rear axle with a short one and a single wheel. This marks the next stage in learning to ride—finding balance. At first, children may feel a bit unsure and miss the stability of the third wheel. After some practice and a few tumbles, they usually get the hang of it and soon race down the street. The unique footrest helps children improve their balance even further, making the transition to a pedal bike effortless.
Control disk
Another unique feature of the Trybike is the control disk on the rear wheel. This allows you to adjust the bike to be lower or higher and to make the wheelbase longer or shorter. In this way, you can create the perfect setup for each child’s level and ability.
Tip
If your child can lift their feet off the ground while riding the balance bike, they’ve mastered it! Now it’s time to buy a real pedal bike. When you buy a pedal bike, leave the training wheels at the store. The only things your child still needs to learn are pedaling and braking. Balancing won’t be a problem, and after an hour of practice, most children will be cycling confidently.
