Floris van Bommel De Stapper 30361 30-08 classic lace-up shoe for men in G+ width (regular) in the color Grey. This is a smart shoe made on a comfortable G½ last. The sole is stitched to the upper using the Blake construction. The sole is made of durable TPU material and features a light anti-slip texture. The luxurious calf leather lining guarantees optimal wearing comfort. This shoe does not have a fully removable footbed but is equipped with a comfortable foam layer under the entire foot. The upper of the shoe is made of grey printed suede with black and light brown accents.

On the bottom of this sole there is a drawing of a man who refuses to walk. For compelling reasons! The last time I refused to walk myself was during a little competition with colleagues: who could wait the longest before boarding a flight to a trade fair in Italy. Eventually everyone was already on the plane, and only my colleague Paul and I were left standing at the bottom of the aircraft stairs. Paul was laughing a bit awkwardly and looking around. I took it a step further, stared firmly at the ground and stopped responding altogether. The pressure from the stewardess became too much for Paul. He gave in. I once used the same tactic at the circus to avoid having to walk into the ring during a clown act. The spotlight stopped on me, the little clown started beckoning me and blowing his funny whistle. I looked down and didn’t respond again until someone else became the victim. That man was hoisted up to the top of the circus tent, while a banner with the word ‘intermission’ unfurled beneath the chair he was sitting on. Moral of the story: Only walk if you feel like it!
