This is a comfortable, casual winter classic on a sturdy rubber lug sole. The sleek, rounded last makes it a truly stylish, dress shoe, not a heavy, rugged boot. It's a simple, classic style, and that's precisely why a lot can go wrong during the design process. The slightest mistake and the shoe is out of balance. So, we did a lot of tinkering. Once the boot was finished, I couldn't resist giving it a little extra love. They love that. It makes them feel extra comfortable in their little box. I've given my mind free rein and added some little scribbles to the tread of the classic commando sole. This tread was invented at the beginning of the 20th century by Vitale Bramani, founder of sole manufacturer Vibram. Over the years, we've varied this theme several times. This time, it's just some simple scribbles that make everything a little different. I've tried to keep it neat, but one of the angels in the toe cord clearly shouldn't have been eating beans.
